Semi arid desert steppe of western Kazakhstan

Semi-arid climat generally describes regions (non-polar) receiving low annual rainfall (from 250 to 500 mm) and generally have a short-grass or scrub vegetation. The Köppen climate classification for semi arid climates is either BS for steppe climates or BW for true deserts.
